Jr. Pioneer Band 
2019-2020 Schedule

August 15                   6:00pm
Meeting at David Crockett High School in the Band Room for all first year band students and parents.

October 19                 TBA                  
7th & 8th grade band students, and parents, invited to attend the Science Hill Marching Band Competition where the DCHS marching band will be competing.

December 10            During School
*Band students will travel to Grandview for concert rehearsal.

December 10           6:30PM
*Holiday concert in the gym at Grandview. 

January 18                  TBA
East Tn area Jr. Band clinic auditions held at John Sevier Middle School, Kingsport, TN
(More info will be sent out Sept-Oct.)  7th and 8th Grades only.

February 14-15            All Day
East Tn area Jr. Band clinic held at Unicoi County High School, Erwin, TN

February 21-22            All Day
Washington County Honor Band held at David Crockett High School
(7th and 8th grade students. By director invitation only.) More info will come in January.)

March 27 (Tentative)    During School
8th Grade band students will be able to travel to Greeneville, TN to see the DCHS Band perform at the local concert band assessment festival.

March 26                     During School
*Band students will travel to Grandview for concert rehearsal.

March 26                    6:30PM
*Spring Concert in the gym at Grandview

May 9            All Day
Dollywood trip for all Jr. Pioneer band students. Details will be sent home before Spring Break.

*Indicates REQUIRED ATTENDANCE by all students.

Detailed information will be sent home at least two weeks prior to events. Information will only be sent home to participating students for Jr. Clinic. Everyone should receive information for concerts and the Dollywood trip.
